Brand Description.
Founded in 1963, Kering, formerly known as Groupe Pinot-Spring-Redoux until May 18, 2005, and later renamed Groupe PPR, is an internationally held French company. The company was founded in 1963 by François Pinault and is managed by his son François-Henri Pinault.
Kering shares are listed on Euronext Paris and are a constituent of the French stock index CAC 40. The company owns a range of internationally renowned brands (including luxury, sports & lifestyle and retail brands) and sells in over 120 countries. François-Henri Pinault announced the change of the Group's name to Kering on 22 March 2013. The new name was approved at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 18 June 2013.
