Tesla is an electric vehicle and energy company in the United States, headquartered in Palo Alto, with a market value of US $210 billion, producing and selling electric vehicles, solar panels, and energy storage equipment. On July 1, 2003, the company was jointly founded by Martin Eberhard and Mark Tapenning. The founders named the company "Tesla Motors" in memory of physicist Nicola Tesla. Tesla strives to provide every ordinary consumer with pure electric vehicles within their consumption capacity; Tesla's vision is to "accelerate the global transformation to sustainable energy".

Company Profile

In 2003, Tesla was founded by a group of engineers who want to prove that electric vehicles are better, faster and have more driving fun than fuel vehicles. Today, Tesla can not only manufacture pure electric vehicles, but also produce clean energy collection and storage products that can be expanded indefinitely. Tesla believes that the sooner the world gets rid of its dependence on fossil fuels and moves towards zero emissions, the better the future of mankind will be.

Tesla launched the Roadster model in 2008, thus unveiling the mystery of its battery technology and electric powertrain. Therefore, Tesla has designed the first pure electric luxury car Model S from scratch, which is outstanding among similar products. Model S has excellent safety efficiency and performance, outstanding mileage performance, and can help the vehicle improve continuously through OTA air upgrades. Tested by Motor Trend magazine, the fastest acceleration of Model S 0-60 mph is only 2.28 seconds, overturning people's expectations for cars in the 21st century. In 2015, Tesla expanded its product line and launched Model X. This is an SUV with excellent safety, speed and functionality. It has obtained a five-star safety rating in all categories tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, "Tesla Secret Macro". Tesla released the model 3 of mass production pure electric vehicle with more affordable price in 2016, and began mass production in 2017. Shortly thereafter, Tesla launched the semi-trailer truck Tesla Semi, which is popular with users. Fuel cost alone can save car owners at least 200000 dollars per million miles. In 2019, the medium-sized SUV Model Y will be launched, which can accommodate 7 people; In the same year Tesla launched Cybertruck, which is more practical than traditional trucks and has higher performance than sports cars.

Tesla cars are produced in Fremont factory in California and Shanghai super factory. In order to achieve the goal of having a safer factory in the world, Tesla has adopted a proactive safety policy, requiring employees involved in production to participate in strict vocational training before work. After the official work, Tesla will continue to provide on-the-job training and record daily performance to help employees grow. Under the guarantee of perfect system, Tesla's safety rate is constantly improving while increasing its output.

In order to create a complete energy system for sustainable development, Tesla has also designed a unique energy solution consisting of Powerwall, Powerpack and Solar Roof, which enables residents, enterprises and public utilities to manage the power generation, storage and consumption of environment-friendly energy. Gigafactory 1 supports the development of Tesla's automotive and energy products. This factory aims to significantly reduce the cost of battery cells. By producing its own cell, Tesla not only achieved its production goals, but also created thousands of jobs.

This is just the beginning. Tesla will continue to produce affordable and easily acceptable products for more people while producing affordable cars, accelerating the production of clean transportation and clean energy. Electric vehicles, batteries and renewable energy power generation and storage have been able to "play an independent role". If they are combined, they will be more powerful, and this is the future we look forward to.

Meaning of vehicle logo

On February 5, 2017, it was reported by VentureBeat that, for automobile manufacturers, the car logo is as important as the car itself. Of course, logo design has become a very important task. Tesla's T-logo, which has gained great fame in recent years, has been widely known, but the fact has proved that this simple logo is not only the initials of the inventor Tesla's name, but also has a profound meaning behind it. Tesla CEO Mask explained on his Twitter that the stylized "T" is actually a hint of the company's products, saying that the T-shaped logo represents the cross section of the electric motor.

The main part of the letter T represents a part of the motor rotor, while the second line at the top represents a part of the peripheral stator. Tesla also has similarities with SpaceX in logo design. SpaceX is another daring venture of Musk, which is dedicated to building rockets and sending payloads into space orbit. Musk said in his tweet that the deformed "X" in the SpaceX logo represents the launch trajectory of the rocket. The logos of Tesla and SpaceX are from RO Studio, a design company headquartered in New Jersey. Compared with Tesla and SpaceX, the logo of SolarCity, the third company of Musk, is relatively simple. The yellow sun is simple and clear with the company name. Under the leadership of Musk, Tesla acquired SolarCity in 2016, which triggered people's imagination about solar electric vehicles. Previously, SolarCity was controlled by Musk and his family members, but after the acquisition, it was called a corporate entity belonging to Tesla. The acquisition of SolarCity implied that Musk's expectations for Tesla's future were not only satisfied with the latter's becoming an automobile manufacturer. Not long ago, the company officially changed its name to "Tesla" instead of "Tesla Motors".
